Basic Turkish 2 - Turkish for Foreigners

Bu kitapla Türkçe öğrenmek isteyen yabancıların Türkçe okuma, yazma, konuşma ve dinleme becerilerinin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Türk kültürü ve gündelik yaşamı kitabın önemli bir parçasını oluşturmaktadır. Öğrenicilerin kendileri, aileleri ve çevreleriyle ilgili sözcükleri/ifadeleri anlayabilmeleri, aynı konularda kısa metinler okuyup yazabilmeleri: geçmiş zamanda günlük etkinlikleri hakkında konuşabilmeleri ve yazabilmeleri; şimdiki zamanda ya da geçmişte yaşadıkları yere ilişkin bilgiler verebilmeleri amaçlanmaktadır. Bu kitabın içeriği Avrupa Konseyi Dil Politikaları Birimi’nce oluşturulmuş olan Avrupa Dil Portfolyosu’nun A1 düzeyine denktir.

Bu kitap yirmi beş yıllık çalışmanın bir ürünü. Bu kitapla yabancılara Türkçe öğrettiğim yirmi beş yılın sonunda anadilimi ve çok severek yaptığım işimi herkesle paylaşmak istedim. İşte bu kitabı yazmamın asıl nedeni bu. Umarım, Türkiye’de ya da dünyanın herhangi bir yerinde Türkçe öğrenenlere ya da öğretenlere bir katkım olur.

This book intends to develop Turkish reading, writing, speaking and listening skills of the foreigners who want to learn Turkish. The Turkish culture and the daily life constitute a major part of the book. It’s aimed for the learners to understand the words/expressions related with them, their families and surroundings; become involved in simple conversations, speak about their casual activities in the present and past tense; write about themselves with simple expressions/sentences in the present and past tense; read and write related short texts, and be able to give information about the place where they live/lived. The content of this book is equivalent to A1 level of the European Language Portfolio created by the European Council Language Policy Division.

This book is a product of twenty-five years of work. By virtue of this book, I wanted to share with everyone my mother tongue, which I have taught for twenty-five years, and my profession that I enjoyed a lot. That’s the actual reason why I wrote this book. I hope I will contribute to the efforts of those who are learning or teaching Turkish at anywhere in Turkey or in the world.
